Leadership II — Understanding the Power of the Mind
The second module in the Leadership series is focused upon helping participants understand that the power of the mind is exceptionally powerful and should be utilized to help employees develop a higher level of competency in fulfilling their responsibilities.
The expectations of the leader is a most important concept and usually has a tremendous influence upon the actual outcomes of the individuals and group.
Another powerful mental leadership concept explored in Leadership II is understanding of the communication process between and among employees. Most organizational problems are rooted in an ineffective communication network. This includes body language, tone of voice and active listening.
Participants will also spend time discussing customer service and its importance to the leadership function with any group. In addition, time will be spent dealing with the concept of performance problems, including how to recognize them and what to do about them.
Class methodology will involve a PowerPoint presentation, large and small group discussion of principles, small group activities and two videos: motivation and Pygmalion Effect.
