Job Hunter Video Series

Some of the world's most advanced manufacturing industries have operations located right here in Mississippi. In MPB's television series, Job Hunter, Mississippians are introduced to the opportunities that exist in the state's advanced manufacturing industry.

Host Kerri Courtney takes viewers to manufacturers across Mississippi and explores careers at high profile companies in the automotive, aerospace, heavy metal, and polymer industries. She also helps viewers learn where to get the skills they need to be competitive in the advanced manufacturing job market. Kerri visits Mississippi community colleges and universities that have programs for students interested in working in Mississippi's high tech sector.


Shuqualak Lumber Company, Armstrong, Weyerhauser – these are just a few of the companies specializing in timber in Mississippi. Join Kerri as she visits these companies and heads to Scooba, Mississippi, to talk to East Mississippi Community College about their Forest Technology program.


Explore rewarding careers in the medical industry as Kerri focuses on jobs in Radiology Technology, Health Information and nursing at medical facilities in Mississippi. Kerri will also visit Hinds Community College to inquire about its School of Allied Health and Nursing.

Do you have what “IT” takes? Kerri will help you as she visits companies like Lockheed Martin, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bomgar to find out about jobs in Informational Technology. Also, Holmes Community College will show you what you need to train for I.T. career.


Learn how to get plugged in to careers in the energy industry! Host Kerri Courtney explores jobs at companies such as Mississippi Power, Siemens and Stion. Kerri will also visit Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and Pearl River Community College to find out what classes and training are available for those looking into a career in these industries.
