Manufacturing Day

Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center

Visionary Center for Sustainable Communities (VCSC) and Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center have joined together to celebrate Manufacturing Day and provide service members and their families the opportunity to learn about the manufacturing industry in the region and the education and career pathways available.

VCSC is bringing their mobile classroom, equipped with 3D scanning, design, and printing; simulation systems such as vacuum casting and CNC controls; and access to online resources such as Project Ignite, LearnCNCand TinkerCAD.

We are inviting employers in the region to participate in this event:

• Provide information on what your company is doing in the region
• Discuss the types of skills you are seeking and the types of positions that may be available
• Describe avenues for training, internships, apprenticeships, or other work-based learning opportunities

VCSC has posted this event on the MFGDay website, and will include a list of those employers who participate in this great activity.

If you are interested in participating, please contact Captain Clay Wall.
