JACKSON – Clifton Carroll is the new Director of External Affairs for the Skill Foundation, which is a non-profit organization focused on increasing the skilled workforce in our state. They work to engage private industry, communities, and state leaders for true public/private partnerships to grow the pipeline of skilled workers for the next generation of Mississippians.
Prior to joining the Skills Foundation, Clifton worked both for Governor Reeves and the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency as a legislative liaison and policy advisor. There, he represented the Governor’s office and MEMA at the state Capitol, working with Legislators on policy initiatives and the budget. Clifton also worked on Governor Reeves’ 2019 Gubernatorial campaign as the Deputy Policy Director, where he advised the campaign on policy issues.
The Skills Foundation is working closely with Accelerate Mississippi, the state’s new lead workforce development office, to bring public and private sector partners to the table to effectively craft a comprehensive, state-wide strategy for workforce development.
