Made in Mississippi

Manufacturing is a vital part of our state’s economy. Thanks to the skilled and talented workers in this industry, we continue to see them make a positive impact on the Magnolia State.

To highlight the workers in our member companies, we launched the ‘Made in Mississippi’ video series in October 2020.

We post all of the videos in this series to this section of our website. They are also posted to our YouTube page, which you can visit by clicking here.

Our latest video in the series is on a partnership between Contract Fabricators, Inc. and Chevron.

For the past year, CFI, which has facilities in Iuka and in Holly Springs, manufactured a regenerator for Chevron in Pascagoula.

The regenerator is equipped with 22 cyclones, and the purpose of this piece of equipment is to turn a heavy oil product into commercial products, such as diesel and gasoline. The regenerator weighs over 800,000 pounds, and earlier this month, it was shipped to the Gulf Coast on a barge.

In the video preview below, Mike Clarkson and Dustin Smith from CFI discuss the manufacturing process of the regenerator. We will release the FULL VIDEO in January, and it will show the relationship between the two companies, the development of the equipment, what it took to move the regenerator from Iuka to the coast, and what it means to have two Mississippi companies work together on such a big project!
