Global Operations Manager - Caterpillar, Inc.
Jeff Belcher is the Global Operations Manager for the Caterpillar remanufacturing business in Mississippi, overseeing daily operations and ensuring world-class performance in safety, quality, customer service and delivery on financial commitments. This business returns end-of-life product back to same-as-when-new state, leveraging the skills and talents of an engaged and diverse workforce in tandem with advanced technological processes. Jeff provides leadership to four plant managers across 1.4 million square feet of manufacturing space with approximately 1,500 hourly employees and 165 management/salary employees in production operations and support functions including Environmental Health & Safety, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Engineering Releasing, New Product Introduction, Facilities Maintenance, and Lean Deployment.
Twenty-nine engine models, from 5.1-105.8L and 90-4,000 hp, support a broad business segment including: Industrial, Mining, Marine, Oil & Gas, Energy & Transportation, On-Highway, and General Construction. The Cat Reman facilities in Mississippi maintain ISO 9001, 14001, and ABS external certificates with transition plans to new standards.
Jeff joined Caterpillar in 1993 after college. In his 25+ year tenure at Caterpillar, he has spent time in many roles from accounting to financial systems development / global installations to operations and supply chain management to facility management responsibilities in various locations across the globe (N. American, Europe, S. America and Asia).
Jeff is a globally experienced leader with the demonstrated ability to produce results in challenging environments while building and developing strong teams. He has strong financial and manufacturing leadership experiences, shown in the results he has achieved through excellence in safety, quality, cost, and continuous improvement. With strengths in problem solving, organizing, customer focus, lean and building inclusive relationships, Jeff is able to both develop and lead strategic initiatives to fundamentally improve the business. He has a comprehensive background that has equipped him to be an effective and successful end-to-end business manager.
Jeff holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and Master’s of Business Administration from Bradley University. Jeff has also achieved accounting certifications, CPA, CMA and CFM. Jeff is a member of APICS. Jeff previously served on the Board of the Laredo Manufacturing Association, a WIN sponsor and supports charitable efforts.
