JOB TITLE: MMA-MEP Program Coordinator
REPORTS TO: MMA-MEP Executive Director
DESCRIPTION/OVERVIEW: The Program Coordinator works with the MMA-MEP staff in the development, implementation and improvement of programs and services to enable growth and resiliency in Mississippi’s manufacturing supply chain. The coordinator’s role is to maintain the Connex manufacturing platform that will be utilized to connect manufacturers to resources and expertise across the state, provide support to MMA-MEP sub-recipient centers, grow the participation of manufacturers in the platform, and capture expertise and capabilities of companies.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Connex Mississippi Platform. Support the development and continued growth of the Connex online supplier capabilities database and connection platform. Assist companies in onboarding and understanding the value provided by the platform.
- Events. Help develop and support supplier opportunity forums, business-to-business matching events, supplier scouting opportunities and connections that support the mission of MMA-MEP.
- Marketing. Develop relevant campaigns and content for the manufacturing community to highlight supplier development program activities, MEP Services, and resources. Draft promotional materials for print, web, and social media. Manage/maintain web-based content, event calendars, and social content.
- Data Management and Analysis. Data entry into Connex and Salesforce platforms; maintain data integrity within the Connex platform and in connection to the Salesforce platform. Develop reports as requested or as the data presents itself; provide regular reports to the MMA-MEP Team.
- Other projects. Plan, implement, and coordinate other projects as requested.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience in data management and analysis (database management, statistical analysis)
- Supply Chain experience and/or digital media experience a plus.
ESSENTIAL SKILL/ATTRIBUTES
- Data analysis skills and ability to provide reports on activities and resources within the supply chain platform.
- A strong desire to learn about a company’s operations and act as a trusted advisor to MMA-MEP executive leadership.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be hands-on with a high level of drive, energy, and integrity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
LOCATION/TRAVEL
- MMA-MEP, headquartered in Jackson, MS, will consider candidates located throughout the State of Mississippi, supplemented by periodic in-person meetings in the Jackson office. This position may require travel and may require occasional overnight stays.
