Lex Lemmers Named MMA Chairman of the Board

JACKSON, Miss. – Lex Lemmers, Director of Program Management and Resident Engineering at PACCAR Engine Company in Columbus, was named the 2023-2024 Mississippi Manufacturers Association’s (MMA) Chairman of the Board at Tuesday’s Board of Directors meeting.

“I’m honored to be named MMA’s Chairman of the Board, which is a great association representing all manufacturers in our state,” said Lemmers. “MMA is well-respected by our legislators as the voice of our industry. I look forward to my term as Chairman.”

Lemmers was named Plant Manager at the PACCAR Engine Company plant in Columbus in January 2007 for its build and startup. He began his career with PACCAR in 1996 by working for their European Division DAF Trucks, which is in the Netherlands. He is a graduate of the University of Alkmaar (Netherlands) and earned his master’s degree in manufacturing systems engineering at Warwick University (United Kingdom).

“Lex brings a tremendous amount of experience to his new position as Chairman of the Board,” said MMA President and Chief Executive Officer John McKay. “As a key member of PACCAR’s startup team in 2007, he is keenly aware of what it takes to help bring jobs to our state and the role MMA plays in helping craft business-friendly policy in Mississippi. He will be an asset to industry in Mississippi.”

Lemmers’ term is one year, and he replaces Viking Range, LLC (Greenwood) Chief Financial Officer Jane Moss as Chair of the Board.
