Executive Leader, Southwest Region - Tennessee Valley Authority

Amy Tate is responsible for managing and building relationships with customers, community leaders and elected officials in TVA’s 36-county footprint in Mississippi. Amy has 25 years of experience in local,
state and federal government relations, public affairs, customer and community relations, and strategic communications.

Amy has been honored for her professional accomplishments and service to the community as a member of the Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 10 Businesswomen, “Top 40 Under 40” and Mud &
Magnolia Magazine’s 2017 “Influential Woman of North Mississippi.” She was recently named one of Y’all Politics “Top 50 Most Influential People in Mississippi.” She is a graduate of the Mississippi
Economic Council’s Leadership Mississippi and serves as the current chair for the program.

Amy founded the Milam Elementary Girls Leadership Academy in 2015 and remains active teaching classes. She currently serves on the Tupelo Public School District Board of Trustees and is Past President
of the Association for Excellence in Education. She also serves on the boards of the Mississippi Energy Institute, Skills Foundation of Mississippi, Healthcare Foundation of North Mississippi and the CREATE
Foundation’s Commission on the Future of North Mississippi.

Amy grew up in Natchez, MS, and graduated from Mississippi University for Women (B.S., 1997) and was named Outstanding Graduate by her alma mater in 2014. She and her husband Kevin have two children,
Avery and Walker.
