Duane joined the Pass Christian Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) manufacturing site (then DuPont) in 1980, after receiving his Chemical Engineering and Business Management degrees from Mississippi State University. He has served in a number of manufacturing and engineering roles for the site during his career, including a three year assignment in Wilmington, DE to lead the design of the major expansion the site underwent in the early 1990s. The site transitioned from DuPont to Chemours in 2015. He leads the site Capital group at the DeLisle plant, and coordinates local Public and Governmental Affairs for the site. He is a graduate of Leadership Gulf Coast, is a past president of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast, and has served as professional mentor for the MSU student chapter of Engineers Without Borders, which planned and installed fresh water wells in remote villages in Zambia.
