CF Industries Announces Emissions Reduction Project at Yazoo City, MS, Facility, Agreement with ExxonMobil to Transport and Sequester Up to 500,000 Metric Tons CO2 Annually

NORTHBROOK, Ill. - CF Industries Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CF), the world’s largest producer of ammonia, today announced that it is moving forward with a carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) project at its Yazoo City, Mississippi, Complex that is expected to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emitted to the atmosphere from the facility by up to 500,000 metric tons annually. As part of the project, the Company has signed a definitive commercial agreement with ExxonMobil for the transport and sequestration in permanent geologic storage of the CO2. Sequestration is expected to start in 2028.

Swiss Manufacturer Liebherr Locating to Tupelo

JACKSON (Mississippi Development Authority) – Liebherr, one of the largest manufacturers of construction equipment in the world, is locating distribution and manufacturing operations in Lee County. The project represents a corporate investment of $176 million and will create at least 180 jobs by 2026. The company potentially will invest up to $238.4 million and create up to 342 jobs to support its new operations.

Ashley Expanding Furniture Manufacturing in Lee County

JACKSON (Mississippi Development Authority) – Ashley Furniture Industries, the largest manufacturer of home furnishings in the world, has plans to expand operations in two of its existing locations in Lee County. The project represents a corporate investment of approximately $80 million in facilities and equipment and will create at least 500 new jobs.
